Hermosa Ceramic Glass Coating

What you’re working towards

Clean, streak-free exterior glass with a hydrophobic ceramic layer.

What you need

• Hermosa Ceramic Glass Coating
• Protective gloves and eye protection
• Automotive glass cleaner or suitable IPA preparation
• Several clean, dry microfibre glass towels

Mix before you apply

Dilute 1 part Ceramic Glass Coating with 20 parts water for both direct application and label-approved washer-reservoir use. For example, 50 ml of Ceramic Glass Coating plus 1 litre of water makes 1.05 litres of ready-to-use solution. Mix thoroughly and follow the current label if its directions differ.

Glass process

1. Cool the glass. Work in shade on glass that is cool to the touch.
2. Deep-clean and prepare. Remove dirt, grease and residues, then dry completely.
3. Apply evenly. Spray the diluted solution in a controlled criss-cross pattern without saturating adjacent trim.
4. Allow 2–5 minutes. Conditions affect drying; do not allow uncontrolled residue to harden.
5. Buff clear. Use a clean, dry towel and inspect from inside and outside until streak-free.

Washer-reservoir use

Only use Ceramic Glass Coating in the washer reservoir where the current product label permits it. Use the thoroughly mixed 1:20 solution described above. Check the available reservoir capacity before filling, and never add concentrate directly.

When to pause

Stop if wiper visibility is impaired, residue cannot be levelled or the glass is hot. Restore clear visibility before driving.

Check the surface before you start

Identify the material and the problem you want to treat. Previous coatings, repairs, damage, temperature and application technique can all affect the result. Test a hidden area if you are unsure how the surface will respond.

Work on a cool surface, out of direct sun, in sections small enough to control. If a first pass does not give the result you expected, check the surface and your method before adding more product, increasing the concentration, rubbing harder or leaving it on longer.

Before you put the tools away

• Inspect the whole treated area in good light, from more than one angle. Check for an even finish and remove residue, overspray and excess product.
• Check visibility and grip wherever the treated surface could affect driving. Resolve any issue before using the car.
• Keep tools for wheels, paint, glass and interiors separate. Clean them after use and discard contaminated consumables.
• Follow the drying, curing and washing restrictions on the label and in the steps above.
• For an unusual material, note what you used and how it responded. It will help next time.
