Hermosa Leather Conditioner Guide

What you’re working towards

Clean, compatible leather conditioned evenly without greasy residue or blocked perforations.

What you need

• Hermosa Leather Conditioner
• Waterproof gloves
• Soft applicator or microfibre cloth
• Clean dry towel
• Vacuum or soft brush for seams

Conditioning process

1. Identify and test. Confirm the material is compatible leather, not suede, Alcantara or an unknown specialist finish.
2. Clean and dry. Remove debris from seams and ensure the surface is free of dirt and previous residue.
3. Apply to the tool. Use a small amount on the applicator for controlled coverage, especially around perforations.
4. Spread evenly. Work in light circular passes and allow a few minutes for the product to settle.
5. Buff completely. Remove excess with a clean towel. Repeat only after inspecting dry or worn areas.

When to pause

Stop if colour transfers or the finish darkens unevenly. Keep product away from steering wheels, pedals and other control surfaces where residue could affect grip.

Check the surface before you start

Identify the material and the problem you want to treat. Previous coatings, repairs, damage, temperature and application technique can all affect the result. Test a hidden area if you are unsure how the surface will respond.

Work on a cool surface, out of direct sun, in sections small enough to control. If a first pass does not give the result you expected, check the surface and your method before adding more product, increasing the concentration, rubbing harder or leaving it on longer.

Before you put the tools away

• Inspect the whole treated area in good light, from more than one angle. Check for an even finish and remove residue, overspray and excess product.
• Check visibility and grip wherever the treated surface could affect driving. Resolve any issue before using the car.
• Keep tools for wheels, paint, glass and interiors separate. Clean them after use and discard contaminated consumables.
• Follow the drying, curing and washing restrictions on the label and in the steps above.
• For an unusual material, note what you used and how it responded. It will help next time.
